A short but satisfying Christmas mystery. Helen Binney is asked to judge Gingerbread houses made by the residents of a senior living community. It should be a quick decision and back home again, but as usual, things don't go as planned, and Helen must solve the mystery of the Gingerbread Man (the local scoundrel) before he shuts her up for good. Even though the story is a short, quick read, the characters are well-rounded and the plot is good. I enjoyed it very much.Product details

I read one Helen Binney mystery and was hooked. This short story does not disappoint. Due to medical limitations, Helen has to outwit her opponents using her sharp mind, life experiences and common sense. I would recommend this short story to anyone looking for a great read.

I've read others of this series and enjoy this writer's style and interesting characters.
This was a very quick read. Waiting fir the next installment. Helen is a hoot. I am rooting for her and Tate.
Love all the Helen Binney mysteries. They remind me that you don't have to be 25 and cute to accomplish something.
I really enjoyed the characters in this short story. It kept my interest without being gory . It was a great Christmas read.
I do enjoy the Helen Finney mysteries. She is a character i can understand and often relate to. She is real even though she is a character in the story. I look forward to more of these stories.
